1. The Capstone project is a unique and demanding challenge. In the process of completing it, what did you learn about your subject? What did you learn about your skill set? What did you learn about yourself?
- I learned about the motive behind the art movement I have researched and putting my own style into them. I learned that I could complete a complex subject experimenting with colors and figures. I also learned about myself that when you are working on something you are passionate about, It becomes easy to put in the hours. 2. How is your project relevant to you? How is it relevant to the school? How is it relevant to the community? - I’m pursuing my career in this area, also my post-secondary. 3. What impact did your Capstone have on you? - This Capstone project made me able to express my thoughts in more organized way, before when I was asked to explain my art and the process, I struggled with organizing my thoughts. 4. What aspects of your project are you most proud of? - The final product, my process was very messy and unorganized, although I really liked the final product that came out of it. 5. What was a difficulty you encountered while researching your Capstone project? How were you able to overcome those obstacles? - I had a tough time painting a scenery that goes along well with the painting, I kept trying until it worked. 6. What is the one thing you would have changed about your project if you could? - I would have tried to be more organized with my planning on setting up each step, this project I went with whatever I want to do at the moment. 7. What advice would you offer to future Capstone students to help them with their Capstone journey? - Start thinking on your ideas early so you have much time to work on it.

a) What are your Capstone goals between now and December 1st? Put down specific sources for my research and put it in evidence and artifacts, I am close to finishing the project b) Which specific elements of your project will you accomplish before the end of the month? I can finish my project completely c) How will you accomplish your goals and stay on task? Set a goal every week and make sure to meet that goal d) How often and how will you provide evidence of your progress and learning during this time? I’ll post all of my evidence every week I can get help from my art teacher for for help, she can help me with every step regarding this capstone project. She can provide with a wider range in art than me.

Art teacher (for my technical abilities) Pro- direct, in-person feedback Con- Information can be biased Online collection of paintings from artists Pro- can learn from artist that are already renowned and in professional caliber Con- The artist I view can be biased towards my personal preference I've currently finished my preliminary sketch, both on sketchbook and on canvas, the painting itself is started Draft proposal helped me to plan out my capstone project more organized, it gave me clear goal and core competencies I need to connect and work on. Before the draft proposal, I just thought of a single project to do and that was it, I did not consider if I was investigating or learning anything new
I plan to set a goal every week to finish, so that at the end of the week I can have a sense of what I've completed and what I did not I need to overcome the obstacle where I need to connect other core competencies on to my project, currently I have only two of core competencies connected/written towards my capstone. -I was able to come up with a preliminary sketch for my painting
I've learned that sketching on to a paper can result a different result than what you've had in your vision before. The sketches can come out and also boring if did not considered the details needed to be noted/sketched on the sketches. The sketches I've made are now need to be added on to the canvas, and be started with the paintings. |
